Divine Messenger

Mary Baker Eddy: Her True History

In her day, Mary Baker Eddy was one of the world's most famous and influential women. In 1866, she discovered the laws of God, which she later named Christian Science. Her book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, has healed millions. Mrs. Eddy's discovery reinstated Spiritual healing, but the religious and medical leaders did not accept this revelation. They rejected the Science and slandered the messenger. The lies and criticisms of 1875 are repeated and amplified today.

What remains of her legacy is mainly disinformation and uninformed opinions from writers and content creators who are unable to interpret Mrs. Eddy's life and books accurately. Materially-minded people are blind to Spirit. Spirituality is unreal to them.

Godly Woman

One searching for spiritual healing must learn the true history of Mary Baker Eddy, a Godly woman who has earned the distinction of an extraordinary humanitarian.

"Who is Mary Baker Eddy" places the cornerstone of truth before you, dear reader, so you can safely build up right ideas about her and Christian Science.

"A true appraisal of a great character in history is not always gained at once. It often happens that considerable time must elapse for the world to reach a state of understanding sufficient to perceive true greatness. But if the world is to receive the message of Christian Science which Mary Baker Eddy brought, then it must obtain a true estimate of the messenger." Irving Tomlinson, Twelve Years With Mary Baker Eddy.

Historical Record

"It is well to know, dear reader, that our material, mortal history is but the record of dreams, not of man's real existence, and the dream has no place in the Science of being. It is "as a tale that is told," and "as the shadow when it declineth...

Mere historic incidents and personal events are frivolous and of no moment, unless they illustrate the ethics of Truth. To this end, but only to this end, such narrations may be admissible and advisable; but if spiritual conclusions are separated from their premises, the nexus is lost, and the argument, with its rightful conclusions, becomes correspondingly obscure." Retrospection and Introspection by Mary Baker Eddy
